Things

Word on the street is that the cast of MTV's Jersey Shore season two are in Miami filming the second season. That is good news to all of us but, and it's a big BUT, MTV has told the cast not to drink. I was dumbfounded. How on earth could MTV do this? This show is a sensation and the network wants to lessen the chance of classic moments by taking out the potent potion that is alcoholic beverages. It's plain stupid. The only reason people watch reality TV shows on MTV or VH1 is to see what these crazy drunk people will do to each other. MAybe it's because of the fights and some negative press coverage MTV is punishing the cast but the show is a ratings ace and a cash cow. Sometimes I wonder why people in powerful positions MAke the decisions they do. There is no no way in hell that the second season even scratches the surface of the plateau that the first season reached.

NIT play starts tonight. Teams like UConn, UNC, Illinois and Virginia Tech headline a field full of familiar NCAA tournament teams. UConn is barely squeaking by Northeastern at home as I type and I cannot pick them to advance very far. I am simply going to pick a final four and champion for this tournament. I think Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Memphis, and Cincinnati will be the final four left. I see Virginia Tech beating Memphis in the final. Seth Greenberg is a coach I have always liked and followed he will have the Hokies ready to play and they have something to prove after having their bubble burst sunday. By the way as far as the play in game goes, who cares? It's to decide who will lose to Duke.

12 days and I am 21. That's all.

St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow. A day of clovers and beer, leprechauns and Hate for Notre Dame. I probably won't partake in the festivities tomorrow as I have something inconvenient schoolwork to do. Never really understood what the day meant or is. Not my favorite holiday. Have fun wearing green and getting hammered everyone!

I had Anna's Taqueria today. Best Burrito of All Time. If you have never been there go. There is one at MIT, Davis Square, Coolidge Corner and I believe at least one other location. When in the Boston area go find Anna's and enjoy.

The AniMAl Planet announced today that former professional boxing superstar Mike Tyson will be getting his own show on the network. Apparently he is an avid bird lover and owns several hundred birds. He will be racing his pigeons which apparently is kind of a big deal, the races sometimes span 500 miles, who knew?

P.S- If you didn't get a chance to see Zach Galifanakis host SNL you should. Some funny skits. His monologue was great. Tomorrow look for songs and MArch MAdness picks!
