I am going to share something I witnessed today. Now it is for each and every person who reads this to decide whether it is a video recordable worthy moment. While driving to get gas from the Shell Station in Cleveland circle I witnessed a moment truly unique to where I am in life. First a little background. The Brighton and Brookline area of Boston is a pretty diverse section of the city. A unique demographic of our community is the Hasidic Jewish population, for reasons I have never really investigated, is very large in this portion of the city. This sect of the Jewish faith is unique because the men are almost always wearing suits, some variation of a top hat or YaMAka. All men once old enough wear long curls of hair down where sideburns would grow. Now back to my story. As I sat at a stop light listening to Young Khalifa MAn I saw a young boy sprinting by my car. This boy was no norMAl boy but an extremely enthusiastic Hasidic Jew. He was probably about 10 years old and he must have had life changing news with the smile on his mug and pace at which he was motoring through the street. He passed a very portly bearded MAn which he then proceeded to high five mid-sprint. The portly fellow was completely unfazed, which means he must have knew the boy, but to any bystander it looked like a very courageous move by this young boy. Now unfortunately for me and all of you that is the entire story. But hey I highly doubt that anyone who reads this can say they have witnessed such an event! It left me wondering, who was that portly MAn? Why was that kid so happy? What would MAke me happy enough to high five a stranger? Among other things. That is why if I had the time I would have whipped out my video recording device and revisited this 10 second video from time to time for my own enjoyment. It was one of those sMAll but intriguing moments life throws at you when you least expect it.
