UConn Stumbles Again and Kobe's Record

It is crazy to see teams like UConn and UNC with such terrible records. My entire life these two teams have been college basketball Royalty and this year they look flat out bad. UConn was dominated inside and outside by Rick Pintino's Cardinals. The Huskies looked flat and never seemed to find a rhythm. The loss drops their Big Eats record to 3-6 the most loses a UConn has had in the past 4 seasons and with games against West Virginia, Syracuse and Villanova things do not look good for Jim Calhoun, who hopefully gets healthy soon, and company. With this loss UConn is in crisis mode for a possible at large NCAA bid, it MAy take a miracle MAdison Square Garden run in order for the Huskies to play in the month of MArch. UNC is an interesting story as well. The defending champs already have 8 loses. Although this team lost almost all of their talent but Roy Williams is blessed with recruiting classes full of any McDonald's All American he desires. This team should be much better then they are, uncharacteristic loses at home to Wake Forest and UVA are truly confusing. Roy Williams is a great coach and if there is anyone who can fire up a team it is him so it will be interesting to see if UNC can turn it around quickly in order to salvage a NCAA tournament bid.
In the NBA tonight Kobe Bryant became the Lakers all-time leading scorer and officially has become the most recognizable and arguably the BEST Laker ever. It is hard to argue with the big shots he makes and the big numbers he puts up, not to mention the MAn has won 4 NBA title rings. I despise the Lakers and hate to see him sink game winners like the one in the Garden on Sunday but the MAn is a legend and deserves some praise on breaking Jerry West's record.
